According to WrestlingDVDNetwork.com, a soon to be released DVD set from the WWE will be called “WWE Unreleased: 1986-1995” and will feature a collection of rarely seen matches and content not currently available on the WWE Network. As the title says, this content will be matches starting from the Hulkamania era and span 9 years until the New Generation of the mid-90s.
While a release date or a full list of the matches on the set have not been released, speculation of two matches being included is a match from 1986 in Toronto Canada featuring Owen Hart, and a match between Tazz and Scott Taylor from 1993 in Portland Maine.
Owen was still new to the sport and wrestling for Stampede Wrestling in 1986, at that point run by his older brother Bruce. Another older brother, Bret, was wrestling in the WWF at that time as part of the Hart Foundation.
The speculated May 1993 match in Portland Maine was a supposed “tryout” match for Tazz, then known as his original gimmick as The Tazmaniac who was known to New England fans for his work with the Savoldi family’s ICW promotion. Scott Taylor is a Maine native who would go on to have much more success as Scotty 2 Hotty of Too Cool fame. Taylor now works for the WWE as a Trainer at the Performance Center.
