This week’s episode of Smackdown, buoyed by the “guest appearance” of “WWE free agent” John Cena, drew a 1.80 rating, a boost from last week’s rating of 1.72 and the ten week rolling average headed into the week of 1.76 and above the 2018 average so far of 1.75.
The 1.80 rating was enough to beat the 1.79 from one year ago, a rare “win” these days for Smackdown compared to year-ago numbers.
TVbytheNumbers.com touted Smackdown’s increase from 0.8 to a 0.9 among the targeted adult 18-49 demographic. Smackdown was the top rated show on cable TV on Tuesday night in that key demo. It was behind “Curse of Oak Island” in History Channel in total viewers, though – 2.692 million for SD versus 3.016 million for “Curse.”
