Big Cass Returns, Final Men’s MITB Entrant, SD Matches Next Week

When Big Cass returned to Smackdown during the Superstar Shakeup last month, the company clearly had big plans for him given that he was immediately inserted into a feud against Daniel Bryan. The rivalry has continued between the two wrestlers, but Cass has not competed in the ring for a while now due to what is believed to be a minor injury. However, Big Cass is already back fighting in the ring once again. During last night’s Smackdown show, Cass came down to the ring on crutches only to reveal that he has been cleared by WWE doctors to compete once again. With no more hindrances in his way, Big Cass will be wrestling regularly once again very soon.

It seems @BigCassWWE is medically cleared to compete on #SDLive, that could mean VERY bad things for @WWEDanielBryan…AND @SamoaJoe for that matter!

One match that Big Cass will not be involved in is the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Fans may remember that Samoa Joe and Big Cass were originally set to fight each other to determine the final entrant in this year’s ladder match. Due to Big Cass’ injury, a qualifying match between Samoa Joe and Daniel Bryan was made for Smackdown this week instead. However, after Cass revealed that he had been cleared to return to the ring, General Manager Paige decided to add Cass to the match between Bryan and Joe, thus making it a Triple Threat match. In the end, it was Samoa Joe who was able to get the win and earn the last spot in this year’s Money in the Bank match.

The prophesy reigns true.@WWEDanielBryan passes out to the #CoquinaClutch which means @SamoaJoe is your FINAL Men’s #MITB #LadderMatch entrant! #SDLive #TripleThreat @BigCassWWE

Smackdown this week promised that fans would be able to see Daniel Bryan and Samoa Joe compete against each other for the first time in years in a match that would also determine the final member of the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match. After that enticing main event, a few matches were made official for next week’s edition of the show. Fans can look forward to seeing Jimmy Uso and Naomi team up to take on Aiden English and Lana in a mixed tag team match. Also, best friends Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch are going to have to face each other in a singles match. Those matches and several more will all be taking place during Smackdown next Tuesday night.
