They are the most popular members within any family. And if they are part of a famous family, chances are they have a huge fan following of their own. Meet the famous pets of our time. Some even have their own fan clubs and social media profiles that offer a unique perspective of their owner’s lives. Here are 11 pets that call the shots and keep even world leaders on their toes.

1. Bo and Sunny

Barack Obama’s dogs are quite world famous. The former first dogs are cute as buttons – a fact that made headlines numerous times during Obama’s presidency. The Portuguese water dogs had a strict schedule, just like the ex-President, as everybody wanted to take pictures with them. Michelle Obama literally had to approve their public appearances!

Pidi was introduced to the world by Rahul Gandhi on Twitter. The Congress Vice President credited his energetic terrier dog for being the inspiration behind his witty tweets – for which he is often trolled. Just like his master, Pidi too trended on Twitter after Gandhi shared a video of his pet doing several tricks.

    4. Kenzie

Last year, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Turdeau introduced Kenzie to the world. Justin Trudeau and his family had adopted the pet in April 2016. Trudeau’s family of five had no pets before they welcomed Kenzie home. The Portuguese water dog, however, has not been in the public eye like Obama’s pets. Maybe Kenzie is private and prefers to mull over issues of national importance.
